Chad Gosselink and Cartney McCracken have teamed up to launch Control Point Group, a D.C.-based national consulting firm.

Last month, Gosselink and Brad Chism ended their 13-year business partnership at the Democratic firm Zata|3. Chism has sinced formed a new political communications firm, Chism Strategies, and now Gosselink has partnered with McCracken to launch an all-purpose political shop.

"It's an integrated political consultancy that does everything under one roof," says McCracken, the former social media strategist at West Virginia-based Rainmaker, Inc.
"That allows for cohesiveness."

Critical to the firm's early success will be its creative partnership with Rainmaker. Some work will be done in collaboration with Rainmaker while Control Point Group works to build its client base.

Along with Gosselink and McCracken, Will Miller rounds out the three-person firm. Miller was formerly at Zata|3. Control Point will take on political consulting, communications and issue advocacy projects. The company's services will include phone, direct mail and broadcast, as well as digital offerings—mobile video, social media and web design.

The firm officialy launched January 1, but already has a few clients on board. Says McCracken: "We're new, but we're hungry."
